Working with documents is a crucial part of any job. If you’re handing over a project to a new team member or planning for a busy time, documentation is a must. You can provide your team with a wealth information like logins to your account and step-by-step directions by creating effective documentation. Documentation can also help save time since you don’t have to search through documents or emails to find the information you need.

Document Document (noun) an item of that contains official information, such as a receipt contract or letter. Documents may be written record, for example, an entry in a journal, or a report for school. Documents can be unstructured or semistructured. Unstructured documents can include handwritten notes, letters and newspaper articles. Semistructured documents include books, databases and blogs that are online. Documents can also be nonfictional pieces that serve as the reader with a reference, study or a comparison. Examples include printed materials, manuscripts, illustrations, photos, maps, and museum specimens.

A document is a type of file on the macOS device that contains text and formatting that can be printed on paper or viewed on a screen. You can create documents using macOS apps such as Pages and TextEdit as well as using templates available in the App Store.
